THE DJ
DJ WZRD is a touring DJ and producer who plays in Mexico, Los Angeles, Seattle, Canada and Sacramento. He picks songs by feel: "If I don't understand the language of a song, I'll still play it if it has a good vibe." He has played the 10th Anniversary of EDC Mexico, holds a residency at Six Flags Mexico, and appears on Pitbull's Globalization (Ritmolucion) on SiriusXM and on TV Azteca. His YouTube has over 16 million views.
THE VENUE · CULTURA
Cultura Seattle calls itself "Seattle's #1 Latin club." It's on Capitol Hill at 916 E Pike St, with reggaeton, dembow, merengue and cumbia nights, international DJs, VIP tables and lasers through the smoke. This night was sold out.
THE NIGHT
The room was lit pink and purple and packed wall to wall. He stood above the crowd in his white frames and gold VZZRD chain, hands on the decks and the mic pulled in. The halo shot is my favorite from the night. The wide room shot shows how full it was.
